one serious...
one funny...
and you need to understand that i have a serious obsession/crush on the Phanatic... i have made several attempts to tackle him at the home games. i <3 him. so you know i am one upset broad that mccain/palin tried to use him without permission...

No Endorsement from the Phillie Phanatic
"Last Thursday, in Downingtown, Chester County, the Phillie Phanatic's image made an appearance on the credentials issued to members of the press and others attending a John McCain rally. The Phanatic was depicted wearing a McCain-Palin t-shirt in a photo that seemed to be a product of Photo Shop. On Friday, the Phillies issued a reminder that such use of the Phanatic's image was unauthorized and that they weren't supporting any candidate.
Later this morning, McCain will address a rally in Bensalem, Bucks County. And the press credential when I arrived a few minutes ago has a plain white sticker on it covering up something. I peeled it back to reveal, yes, that same image of the Phillie Phanatic. Obviously, the credential was produced before the reminder from the Phillies. But the message was received. More from the McCain rally later."
