so, i bought these mbt sneakers because it says they can help strengthen your legs and help your balance and posture - all things i need help with. they aren't pretty, but i got the blue leather ones b/c at least they're a cute light blue color. i've gone for walks in them and they've been very cushy and comfy. yesterday i decided to take it to the next level - the treadmill.

now for the tangent - in high school, i ran track. 400 singles and relay. that race sucked because you'd have to sprint for the first 100 meters, then stride for 200, then sprint the last 100. fucking sucked. eventually i had to quit because i'd get shin splints all the time and it never healed. even now i get them if i run too much.
so back to the gym yesterday...i was walking at a pretty good clip (3.7 mph) and decided to TRY running for a couple of minutes, just to see if the sneaks were as therapeutic as some customer reviews indicated. so i did two minutes of running, then two minutes of walking for 15 minutes. no shin splints, yesterday while i was running nor today...i was blown up, but my shins didn't hurt. freakin sweet! the only thing today is my ankles and thighs are sore, but that's a good thing cuz that means i was working out parts that don't get a workout when i'm walking all over the city. these sneakers are sweet. i recommend them highly.
