woo-hoo! miss wanton comes to visit in two days. this should be fun, er funny....drunken wii sports. i'll have to make sure she wears her wriststrap ;-)
things are a-brewin' writing-wise, but i don't want to jinx myself by posting anything. when something's more concrete, i'll smarten everyone up, i promise.
and i haven't been able to update as frequently, or email people back as promptly as usual, because getting all the lesson plans done for summer camp is keeping me very busy. the theme is "cultural adventures" this year, but we've done that theme before so no one is too into it. i mentioned that next year we should do something along the lines of media literacy - teaching the kids to read through the ads, movies, tv, music they passively take in and think critically about what they're trying to get kids to do (buy). i got some positive reactions - now i just have to remember it in 8 months when we start to think about summer camp 08.
