wow, this week has been a whirlwind...i felt like i was on the go all day at work every day, so i'd come home exhausted and either go to bed early or veg. AWESOME! and they called my up yesterday to videotape some golf tourney out in the burbs (no car to get there) during the time i'd be teaching After School...i told them i'd drop off the camera and tripod so they could do it. there's only so much added nonsense i can fit into my schedule (graphic designer, photographer, teen program point person/paperwork whore, designated meeting lackey) before my real job (as i recall it was teaching) is totally ignored.
the boy's in St Paul/ChiTown this weekend - i think they're making their big announcement tonight and it should make some people in the business very angry. all out carny war, here we come!
sent early chapters of the novel to ted...here's hoping they're not a terrible as i thought they were last night. although the ideas i had last night weren't such a bad way to take the novel...more realism, less "chick-lit" (or maybe that was the insanity talking - i can't really be that corny of a writer, right? ;-)
gotta stop playing on the intarwebs and get going - groceries, errands, a possible haircut and getting planters/soil/plants to fix up the concrete slab and make it look like a real back yard (and make the front not look so barren). am i crazy for planting bamboo in planters along the chain link fence? maybe, but at least my yard will look different than anyone else's around here...we're already an abberation around here, might as well go full-tilt with it :-D
current mood: lacking motivation to get up off the sofa
current noise: i could say "homicidal" by Bad Luck 13, but i'll stick with "in my head" by queens of the stone age
