i should be writing something...the novel, of course, but even thought i don't have time to get into it tonight, i should at least come up with something new for the online project.
but blah...
don't know if it's that
i'm bored with words
bored with my current projects
bored with the way i think
bored with the way i write.
could be all. could be none.
and on semi-related news, i have a sneaking suspicion that some higher up(s) is(are) not happy with my performance at work, but only because they don't understand what my job is like on a daily basis. they think i should be focusing on outreach and making contacts with other non-profits and being a "manager" (even though, ever since bill left, i've had no one who's stepped up to be my manager). but we need to strengthen the contacts between our own centers. and they need to realize that the kids at my center like to hang out with me and trust me enough to ask for help, to be a confidante or mentor. and silly me, i thought the most important part of my job is to make a difference in the life of anyone that comes through our doors.
and i told everyone who would listen many, many times that i'm not a manager. i'm an idea person and a person that can take complicated concepts and turn them into something easliy understood (ya know, a teacher). oh yeah, and sometimes i'm a writer too.
current mood: full of ennui
current noise: some crappy match on RAW
