your favorite sights:
- the first crocus that peaks through the snow
- the look in someone's eye when they understand what i'm trying to teach them (i've nicknamed it the "ooooooh" moment)
- coming home and seeing the boy and the kitties look at me expectantly, because they're happy i'm home
- when my nephews are sleeping
- the height of autumn leaves

your favorite scents:
- gasoline/a mechanics shop (don't ask because i don't understand that one myself)
- fresh cut grass
- lily of the valley (my warm weather fragrance)
- subtle cologne on a man's neck and shirt collar
- the smell of the middle of a forest (a mixture of moss, wood, leaves and dirt, tempered by the coolness of the canopy)

your favorite tastes:
- really good vanilla ice cream
- hot chai latte
- cherry trident (and damn them for not making it anymore)
- the slightly salty taste of someone else's skin
- cantalope

your favorite sounds:
- the wind rustling the leaves left on the trees in autumn
- jill scott's voice, live in concert (so freakin' powerful)
- the boy's "hi baby" when he calls from on the road
- a really heavy riff
- laughter after i've attempted to be funny

your favorite things to touch:
- my cats' fur (one is sleek and the other is fluffy)
- just laundered sheets
- the skin just under a shirt collar
- the fleece inside a brand new sweatshirt (when it's not all pilled up)
- a stone worn smooth by rushing water
