in a few hours, i'll be speaking in front of City Council about the importance of affordable internet access for everyone in philly. but my main goal is to stress the importance of internet safety: technology safety (protecting against viruses, trojans, spyware) and personal safety (protecting yourself against spammers, phishers, sexual predators, cyberbullying and cyberstalking)

trust me, you have no idea what kids are doing on the internet (check out mySpace sometime if you don't believe me) and you can't assume they realize that other "kids" on the internet may really be dangerous adults in disguise.
