so, i busted out some old cds from my collection the other night...lush, pale saints, luscious jackson, bongwater (it's not what you think - they're just an odd artsy band), elvis costello, and jonathan richmond & the modern lovers. i listened to some damn fine musical acts back in the day, but somehow i've gotten out of the loop as far as new music goes. is it that my taste in music isn't in vogue anymore, or are there just no good new bands out there now? can anyone recommend something good to expand my musical horizons beyond 90's alternative and the underground hard rock/metal i listen to now?
also, i received my nomination to the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and College today. thanks Liz!
the boy is in florida for the next three days, so if i'm serious about getting some writing done, now's the time to do it, with the apartment quiet and wrestling-free. i'm beginning to love the novel again (we weren't getting along for a while and needed some time apart) so i'm hoping to make some real progress in the next few months.
check out the new doo on my photo blog. it may not look different to anyone else, but i see the difference. the new hairdresser is crazy, but a total genius with hair. i'm totally in love, in a hairdresser-client way.

You always seem to make me smile, today was such a good day, emotional but good, Your smile makes me even happier, it was nice to be happy, this is the first time in two months I have been truely happy like this, I feel free and at peace today, we made smoothies with Laura today, with fresh fruit and stuff, I like organic stuff so it was good....
I felt so normal today but than again you always tell me no one is
