i seriously don't have anything to say, but i was tired of looking at the same post for almost 5 days now...although i do appreciate the comments everyone left. i feel so loved ;-)
and that leads into my rant for today...v-day.
and not the day of victory after war or the movement Eve Ensler started. valentine's day is such a load of crap. and i'm not talking about it from a single or bitter woman's perspective. as some of you know, i'm happily married to the boy, who is always very sweet and surprising me with little prezzies. so i'm not angry at the world because i have no one to love this day, nor do i have a partner who isn't thoughtful.
but that's one of the reasons why this day sucks. if you don't have a significant other to show you their affection one day of the year, then you're made to feel bad about yourself and question if you're loveable and worthy of anything.
and why is there only one day a year to show someone you love them? wtf is that?!? if you can't get off your lazy ass and express your love to the person (or persons, who am i to judge? ;-) you are sharing your life with, then do you really love them and should you really be in a relationship? and before i get some comment about that statement, when i mean express, it can be in words or actions, but it shouldn't be tied to consumerism. write your loved one a note telling them why you love them, or a special moment you cherish. draw a damn heart and put your names in it. cook them dinner, or do the dishes. but just promise me, gentle readers, that you won't just do it on the prescribed one day of the year you're supposed to do it, but any day you are thinking about your sweetie.

and don't forget your best friends on this day too, because friendship love, although different from romantic love, is just as important. i love you gals!
