South Dakota Senate passes abortion ban
"'It is the time for the South Dakota Legislature to deal with this issue and protect the lives and rights of unborn children,' said Democratic Sen. Julie Bartling, the bill’s main sponsor."
are you fucking kidding me? so, it's ok to enact into law your views that may not be what 50% of the population agrees with. and we have to make sure all those unborn babies aren't terminated, but once they're out in the world, we don't have to give them a better life with national health care or a quality education (not that No Child Left Behind nonsense)...or protect them as they get older and start posting personal information and risque photos on mySpace, which opens them up to sexual predators...or give them knowledge about birth control so they don't have to resort to an abortion.
oh, and i forgot that a woman, once she becomes pregnant, doesn't own her body anymore. it's the baby's body to use as it sees fit until it's born.
uuuuuuh, yeeeeeaaaah.
