i know, i know. it's a crummy title. i've always had a problem with coming up with titles.
we got back from new york about two hours ago. yesterday was the show at the new building in manhattan. we didn't get there until after 3, so i didn't have time to walk around Chelsea, which was disappointing because walking new york is wonderful. driving it sucks, but walking it is amazing. i really missed that. and for the record: the new building sucks. the whole ring and all 700 chairs had to be hauled up three flights of stairs, and back down again at the end of the night. on top of that, it's one of those pressurized sports dome things, so they had to bring everything in shifts through the handicapped-accessible door or through the revolving door. major suckitude. plus, trying to get 900 fans through that one revolving door during intermission and out at the end of the night was not good either. it was a great looking building, just a pain in the ass in every other way. but it was still an awesome show, from what i saw behind the fans at the merch table (the photo in the posting for saturday was my view from said table)
today was the lance storm shoot. and any wrestling fans reading this will be sad to hear that most of the time i was doing my homework while lance was talking, so i wasn't really listening, but the parts i did hear were interesting. i think he was one of the few ecw guys who i didn't meet back in the day. a very nice guy who's been all over the place in the wrestling business and who has his head on straight and his priorities in order.
i dread trying to fall asleep before midnight. for over two months now, i can't fall asleep before 1am, but i'm trying to break that habit. i've finally got a handle on how i can lose weight, so now i just need to get this sleeping issue resolved. then i can conquer philly, then the world. and more on the conquering tomorrow when i talk about "jesus year" - fear not, friends. it's not a religious thing (i'm not one for prescribed and organized religions)...it's more of a philosophical thing. until then, i'm going to drink some warm chamomile tea to help settle my mind.
