so philly is a big slushy mess today. i think it wasn't as bad as they were predicting because it really isn't that cold out today - it was way colder yesterday. nevertheless, so many things are closed today, including the philly school district. but the center is still open, with no older adults in and 1/4 of the day care kids here. yeah, that's cost effective for a non-profit.

i think i'll go outside and take a photo or two with one of the cameras here at the center, then post one up on the photo blog today. plus, i'm hoping to get some photos of the infamous south philly xmas "vegas lights" that certain blocks have and post those over the weekend.

i'm not really in a ranting mood today, and i don't want to philosophize about writing. i wish i were home, drinking tea with a purring mister b on my lap. i guess i'll hold out hope for the center closing early today. [sigh]

edited to add: i've become totally obsessed with looking at the visitor stats for this blog...provided free by statcounter.com. i can see where everyone is coming from and how many times they visit. so know that i'm watching all of you...and why the fuck don't you leave comments????? except for teenagexoutcast, sg and kira....props to you guys!
