Unba//anced

now i'm ready to rumble

after taking a walk to the library with a strong wind at my back (how i can't wait for those winds to bring the thunderstorms they're predicting), i finally feel awake enough to make a real post today.

first off, i'm sickened by the amount of xmas commercialism that's sprung up already. seriously, don't spend $$$$$$ for one day of the year. either make gifts for people, if you want or need to celebrate the holiday. or just give gifts to people whenever you feel like, throughout the year, because you're thinking of that person and want them to know it. "an unexpected gift at an unexpected time" (from the movie Finding Forrester)

secondly, i need to start bloggin' about the books i read. for instance...i just returned American Psycho to the library. even though i liked the writing and the empty, souless characters are wonderfully crafted, the scenes of torture and murder are the most disgusting things i've ever read. i'm not queasy or squeamish (no girly-girl reactions here), but i had to put the book down MANY times because i'd feel physically sick. i won't give any details here because my blog would be shut down for obscenity, but just know Bret Easton Ellis is a twisted freak for mixing sex with really graphic and disturbing ways to prolong a person's death. i stupidly forgot my library card, so i'm going back to the library after work to pick up three books that looked interesting, including Douglas Coupland's Eleanor Rigby. even though it was published in january of this year, i still haven't read it and anyone who knows me knows i have most of his books in hardcover because i can't wait for the paperback to come out to read it.

now i need to get some work done today.

    Hey Queenie,
Work was good. I just wanted you to know but I'm kinda rethinking some things and it has nothing to do with anything you really know of. I'm just pissed and sick twisted books make me vomit for real so thats why I dont read them skanky sex torture novels. their really degrating.

think about it. maybe I'm just wrong.

    gotta go,
